Case Keenum is still the overall leader, but this week had a modest four-point showing. This week was all about Utah State’s Robert Turbin, top vote getter after his outstanding performance against Idaho. Chandler Harnish had another big week, and is in the running for the finals. Read on for complete results, and please visit the panelists’ home sites where these writers do tremendous jobs covering the non-automatic qualifying conferences.

1. Chandler Harnish, Northern Illinois

Chandler Harnish is like (college) Tim Tebow without all…Tebow Circus, shall we say. He threw for 338 yards and rushed for 208 in the Huskies’ potential MAC West-clinching win. This guy’s an absolute baller.

2. Robert Turbin, Utah State

The Cardiac Aggies rarely make it easy, and Saturday’s win at Idaho was no exception. Good thing for USU it has Robert Turbin, who exploded for 208 yards and three touchdowns.

3. Bobby Rainey, Western Kentucky

Western freakin’ Kentucky is BOWL ELIGIBLE. Wrap your head around that one. Bobby Rainey supplemented the Hilltoppers’ sixth win with 214 rushing yards and a touchdown, as well as a receiving score.

4. Tyler Shoemaker, Boise State

Kellen Moore’s top target abused a San Diego State defense that had ranked in the top 20 nationally entering Saturday’s game. Tyler Shoemaker hauled in three of Moore’s four touchdowns and finished with 130 yards.

5. Vinny Curry, Marshall

Vinny Curry’s had a truly special season. He was my nominee for the Bronko Nagurski Award, and on Thursday night had a hugely important play that kept the Herd’s postseason hopes alive. Curry blocked a Memphis point-after attempt — Marshall won by a point.
