Most everyone knows that the SEC is the best conference in college football. SEC programs have won the last SIX national championships because, generally speaking, they have the best players, the best coaches and the best traditions. Now the SEC has the best four teams in the country.

1) Alabama(3-0)

Trending: Sideways | Previous Ranking: 2 | Next Opponent: Florida Atlantic Owls

Alabama absolutely destroyed Arkansas on Saturday afternoon in Fayetteville, shutting out the Razorbacks 52-0. The Crimson Tide takes on the Owls of Florida Atlantic University this Saturday. Expect Alabama to beat Florida Atlantic handily this weekend at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa.

2) Georgia(3-0)

Trending: Sideways | Previous Rank: 3 | Next Opponent: Vanderbilt Commodores

Owls are known for being able to turn their heads around so that they can see behind them. There were a lot of Owl players turning their heads on Saturday to see Bulldog running backs fly by as Georgia smoked Florida Atlantic 56-20. Georgia beat Missouri a couple weeks ago in Columbia, MO. They deserve the number two slot this week.

3) LSU(3-0)

Trending: Sideways | Previous Rank: 4 | Next Opponent: Auburn Tigers

LSU beat Idaho on Saturday afternoon, 63-14. LSU plays SEC rival Auburn at Jordan-Hare Stadium this week. The atmosphere should be electric. Look for a close game between the Tigers of Baton Rouge and Tigers of Auburn with the Bayou Bengals coming out on top.

4) Florida(3-0)

Trending: Up | Previous Rank: N/A | Next Opponent: Kentucky Wildcats

The Florida Gators have had the most difficult schedule of anyone in the Top Four. The Gators beat Texas A&M and Tennessee, both on the road, in the last two weeks. The Gators play the Wildcats in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium on Saturday. Look for a cookie cutter Florida victory.  The rest of the season for Florida is BRUTAL with LSU, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida State on the schedule.

Teams on the Outside Looking In:

Florida State(3-0)

Trending: Up | Previous Rank: N/A | Next Opponent: Clemson Tigers

Florida State dominated Wake Forest on Saturday at Doak-Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee. The Seminoles are scoring 58 points a game — second most in the country — and are scheduled to play Clemson on Saturday night. ESPN Game Day will be on campus and the scene should be raucous. Look for Florida State to win a high scoring and close game.

Oregon(3-0)

Trending: Sideways | Previous Rank: N/A | Next Opponent: Arizona Wildcats

Oregon has scored a total of 162 points in the first three games of the year, for an average of 54 point per game average. Look for Oregon to dismantle an overrated Arizona team in Autzen Stadium on Saturday evening.
