Oregon claimed No. 1 in the Fansided Top 25 for the first time this season, just edging out second ranked Kansas State in the race to replace Alabama atop the poll. With its loss to Texas A&M, the Crimson Tide stumbled to No. 5, just below Georgia. The SEC East champion Bulldogs and Alabama should meet in the conference title game on Dec. 1, barring Auburn upsetting Alabama in the final week of the regular season.

Though the Pac-12 (Oregon), Big 12 (K-State) and independents (Notre Dame) occupy the top of the poll, the SEC is strongly represented in the top 10. Just behind Georgia and Alabama are LSU (No. 6), Florida (No. 7) and Texas A&M (No. 8). Rounding out the SEC-heavy top 10 are undefeated Ohio State, and ACC leading Florida State.

New to the poll this week is Kent State, checking in at 25. Michigan returned to the Top 25 at No. 23.
