Dallas Morning News: Texas Assistant Major Applewhite Engaged in “Inappropriate Behavior” With A Female Student

Texas athletic director DeLoss Dodds and UT Board of Regents must address documents, made public on Friday, that new Longhorn athletic director and former quarterback Major Applewhite engaged in “inappropriate, consensual behavior with an adult student” while the team was in Arizona for the 2009 Fiesta Bowl.

This might seem like a personal matter for which Applewhite can offer a mea culpa, then discuss privately with his family. But a major (no pun intended) problem for UT brass is that former Longhorn track coach Bev Kearney resigned last month after a relationship with a student-athlete 10 years prior was made public.
