Football Recruiting Links: National Signing Day Aftermath
Kiffin’s face was buried in his play chart all day on National Signing Day. Ivan Pierre Aguirre-USA TODAY Sports
National Signing Day is over, and the top recruits have, for the most part, been accounted for. Robert Nkemdiche went to Ole Miss, Eddie Vanderdoes went to Notre Dame, UCLA out-recruited USC and Alabama had the last laugh (again).
But there’s still some business to take care of, and there’s also a lot to look forward to. Let’s take a look around the FanSided network to see what kind of mess Signing Day has left behind.
Lane Kiffin And USC Past the Worst of Sanctions – Reign of Troy
Reign of Troy takes a look at the recruiting class Southern California brought in this year, examining and evaluating the class in the context of recent Trojan recruiting classes. Additionally, Kiffin’s hot seat is discussed within the context of recruiting.
Boston College: What Was Learned On National Signing Day – Soaring To Glory
FanSided’s Boston College site breaks down new head coach (and mustache connoisseur) Steve Adazzio’s first recruiting class. There were no surprises for BC on Signing Day, and the recruiting class is notably weak, but that has more to do with Adazzio being hired just two months ago, argues Joe Micik.
Alabama: Signing Day Wrap-up – Bama Hammer
John Mitchell at Bama Hammer examines Alabama’s top-ranked recruiting class, which includes four five-star recruits. The Alabambros discuss the top-flight talent they recruited at running back, the best player in the class and the signees most likely to start immediately.
Kentucky: Sights And Sounds From An Epic National Signing Day – Wildcat Blue Nation
Jason Marcum recaps Kentucky’s wildly-successful Signing Day, which saw the Wildcats earn the best recruiting class in program history behind new head coach Mark Stoops. Press conferences galore add to the jubilation for Big Blue Nation.

Tennessee: A Recap Of The Vols’ National Signing Day – All For Tennessee
The Vols were poised for a top-flight recruiting class, but Zach Ragan notes that feelings regarding the end result have been mixed. Ragan takes us through Tennessee’s wacky recruiting day.
Notre Dame: Five Recruits Most Likely to Start Now – Slap The Sign
The Domers signed one of the best recruiting classes in the nation, falling just short of Alabama on nearly all fronts. Nick Combs discusses National Signing Day, while the boys at Slap The Sign try to determine who starts in 2013. Unsurprisingly, Eddie Vanderdoes is included in the five.
Florida: Inside The Mind Of Will Muschamp – Hail Florida Hail
The folks at Hail Florida Hail examine Will Muschamp’s recruiting class and discusses the criticism Gators fans have provided for Muschamp. Eric Burdette looks at some questions fans might have, and answers them with quotes to give us a deeper insight as to the direction Muschamp wants to go with this program.
Penn State: Signing Day Recap – Victory Bell Rings
Under sanctions, Bill O’Brien brings in a very nice, 17-man recruiting class. Matt de Bear (that’s actually his name) examines the different contexts in which the Nittany Lions succeeded or didn’t succeed, ultimately concluding that it’s difficult to find a ton of faults with the class of 2013.
Washington: Another Signing Day Recap – Husky Haul

Washington State: Mike Leach Talks Washington State Football, Recruiting, Bruggman – All Coug’d Up
Korbin McDonald provides us with a breakdown of Mike Leach’s presser. As we expect from the pirate, there are some pretty key/hilarious quotes to be read, including something about lasagna.
