Rustin Dodd of The Kansas City Star and Wichita Eagle reported via Twitter that dismissed Miami (OH.) wide receiver Nick Harwell is transferring to Kansas.
So that senior transfer to KU is Miami (Ohio) receiver Nick Harwell. One of the MAC's top receivers. #maction

Dodd’s report came on the heels of this news, reported just minutes earlier:
Charlie Weis says KU could be adding a senior transfer soon. Maybe as soon as tonight.

The dean of students dismissed Harwell from the university last week. Harwell was already suspended from the team, stemming from an arrest in March. The Journal-News reported Harwell’s arrest included charges of criminal damaging, theft and unauthorized use of a vehicle/vehicle trespass. The report also states that Harwell’s arrest violated the university’s Code of Conduct as a “Code One” infraction, or the most serious of offenses.
A three-time All Mid-American Conference selection, Harwell has 3166 career receiving yards and 23 touchdowns. He was one of the nation’s top receivers in 2011, hauling in 97 passes for 1425 yards.
The Kansas Jayhawks desperately need help in the passing game, coming off a season in which receivers combined for just seven touchdowns. Only option offensive teams New Mexico and Army scored less through the air.
Nick Harwell is a senior-to-be with one year of eligibility remaining.
