Add the coming Texas Tech-Arkansas series to those having been set in light of power-conference programs ramping up their non-conference scheduling.
The two programs announced a home-and-home series starting in 2014 with the first game taking place in Lubbock. The Red Raiders will return the trip to Arkansas in 2015.
Though some teams have been lining up marquee matchups outside their leagues for years, there has seemingly been more movement on that front since the official unveiling of the College Football Playoff.
This particular matchup pits former conference mates together. Both teams were part of the now-defunct Southwestern Conference until the Razorbacks left for the SEC in 1992.
