Yahoo! Sports’ Charles Robinson reports that surveillance video from Sugar Bar 2 clears Ohio State running back Carlos Hyde.

Buckeye head coach Urban Meyer issued a statement that Hyde was suspended indefinitely, pending further investigation into an altercation at the Columbus, Ohio nightclub on Saturday morning.

Initial reports by The Columbus Dispatch said Hyde had been dismissed from the team.

“There are also expectations with regards to behavior. I expect our players to conduct themselves responsibly and appropriately and they will be held accountable for their actions,” Meyer said in a statement issued Monday afternoon.

Ohio State athletic director Gene Smith praised Meyer for his handling of the situation, telling USA Today‘s Paul Myerberg, “”Swift, effective and fair discipline is the standard for our entire athletic program. I applaud Coach Meyer for his immediate actions.”

Hyde was one of four Buckeyes disciplined on Monday. Cornerback Bradley Roby was arrested for battery in Bloomington, Ind. Roby was removed from Ohio State’s Big Ten media day itinerary.

Tight end Marcus Baugh received a one-game suspension for minor in possession of alcohol, and possession of a fake ID. Defensive lineman Tim Gardner was dismissed after an arrest for obstruction of official business.
