File this as one of those moments that remind you of why football is great. Iowa State wide receiver Justin Coleman received quite a surprise during a team meeting this week. H/T @LandThieves for tweeting the below link, via Cyclones.tv.

Coleman arrived in Ames in 2010, walking onto the Cyclones after Div. II Nebraska-Omaha closed its football program. He played on scout team during his redshirt 2011 season, and last year appeared in 11 games on special teams. His contributions to the necessary details landed Coleman his scholarship.

Cyclones head coach Paul Rhoads has touted the success of the ISU walk-on program in the past. In a 2010 feature on the official Iowa State athletic site, he said:

"“If you come to study and play football at Iowa State, you know that you can prosper in our program through hard work every day, not just Saturday. I think that mind-set appeals to men who know they will get out of our program what they put into it.”"
