Kent State Golden Flashes running back Dri Archer left the game against Liberty following the first drive of the game with what appeared to be an ankle injury. His return is questionable.
Following that first drive, Archer was seen on the sidelines with his leg heavily taped and iced.
You’d hate to see this injury be significant for someone whom many consider to be one of the most explosive players not only in the MAC, but in the entire country. Archer entered today’s game kicking off what many thought would be a potential Heisman campaign. Although it’s normally frowned upon for someone from such a small conference to be considered for the dubious award, Archer most certainly has the talents to wow some of the voters. But, to do that, he needed to avoid any kind of setback, which this injury could possibly be.
We’ll have more on Archer as this develops.
