In the Week 2 FanSided Top 25, the defending national champion Alabama Crimson Tide is once again a runaway No. 1. However, making big strides up the poll this week are the Clemson Tigers, fresh off a 38-35 win over Georgia.

The Tigers jumped to No. 3, up six places from its preseason ranking. Boise State, Oregon State and TCU depart the FanSided Top 25 this week after their opening weekend losses. USC also falls out of the rankings following its lackluster win over Hawaii. Miami, Northwestern, Baylor and Washington move into their place.

The SEC remains the pace-setter, landing four teams in the top 10 and six of the first 12. But joining Clemson is Florida State at No. 10, representing the ACC. The conference has many top 10 nominees as the Pac-12 with Oregon and Stanford, and more than the Big Ten’s one (Ohio State) or Big 12’s none.
