Oregon’s Thomas On Crutches

Oregon RB De’Anthony Thomas suffered an injury while returning the opening kickoff Saturday night against California.

Thomas, the do-everything, home-run-threat, appeared to slip on the soaked Autzen Stadium turf when he sustained the injury.

Thomas did not return to the game and is on crutches on the sideline.

Any significant time missed for Thomas would be a big deal because of his versatility and explosiveness. Then again, Oregon seems to have a factory that produces sensational tailbacks.

The Thomas injury has been just about the only thing to go wrong for the Ducks, who lead the Bears 55-3.
