Putting aside all of the Texas narrative, one thing about Thursday night’s thrilling, controversial game between the Texas Longhorns and the Iowa State Cyclones can not be denied by anyone who tuned in nor anyone who was in attendance tonight in Ames–head coach Paul Rhoads and the Cyclones admirably fought tooth and nail to win that game, and some would say that they should have.

Unquestionably, the main storyline coming out of tonight’s game was what some perceived to be a missed call on what would end up being the game-winning drive. As RB Johnathan Gray was trying to bulldoze his way into the end zone from a few yards out, Iowas State LB Jeremiah George came up, appeared to rip the ball away and it seemed that this game would be a mere moments from being awarded to the home team.

However, after a review by the officials, Gray was ruled down by contact, Texas kept the ball and eventually punched it in to seal the deal.

Well, as expected, head coach Paul Rhoads was not happy whatsoever and he expressed that in his postgame presser which, in my opinion, is must-see stuff.
