Missouri QB James Franklin suffered a shoulder injury and left the field a play later early in the fourth quarter at Georgia.

Franklin appeared to hurt his throwing shoulder when he got tackled and landed on it.

ESPN’s telecast reported the injury as a “shoulder strain.”

Freshman QB Maty Mauk replaced Franklin and immediately picked up a crucial third down before the Tigers scored an enormous touchdown on a double-pass.

Behind Franklin, Missouri raced out to a 28-10 halftime lead. Georgia stormed back in the second half, closing the score to 28-26.

However, WR Bud Sasser just threw a touchdown pass to WR L’Damian Washington on a double-pass to extend Mizzou’s lead. K Andrew Baggett missed the extra-point, meaning the Bulldogs are still within one possession.
