10. Charlie Weis
Sorry, Charlie Weis. You have the toughest job in the Big 12. Not only are you trying to persuade in state recruits why Lawrence is better than Bill Snyder and Manhattan, but you’re also not working with the best talent in the conference. It’s not for lack of trying. Weis has recruited five different players to man the offense at quarterback in his two years with the Jayhawks, but none have panned out. He has even tried heavily for the quick fix with JUCO transfers, however, there’s a deeper issue that keeps him at the bottom. Player development doesn’t appear to be Weis’s strong point. On a positive note, Weis did help KU snap a 27 game Big 12 loosing streak in 2013. But with 1-17 conference record and back-to-back last place finishes in the Big 12, the 10th spot is yours, Mr. Weis.
