Marshall Thundering Herd Head Coach Doc Holliday finally took a major step with his team in 2013. After three years of recruiting and developing talent, which in turn only led to 5-7, 7-6, and 5-7 season, Holliday’s work culminated with a 10-4 record and a win over Maryland in the Military Bowl last year.

more this year, and with good reason. The Herd return lots of talent on both sides of the ball to be even better this year.
Although they lose a few valuable assets on offense, most of the key players return, and almost the entire defense is back.
With three one-possession losses last year in the regular season and so much talent back, there might be more success in the future. Could the Herd win the Conference USA championship this year? Could they finish in the Top 25? Could they possibly go undefeated and make a case to be in the college football playoff?
These are all possibilities to look forward to.
The sky is the limit for Holliday’s team, but before they think that far ahead, a few things will need to be addressed.
