  • Don’t forget that last year this team went 13-1 and only lost on the road to a very good, young Notre Dame team by 4 while Cook was still learning the ropes. This year, an early season loss to Oregon is probably likely with a younger defense developing, but after that there is nobody on the schedule who should be able to beat them.

Want to know the best part about this? Nebraska, Michigan, and Ohio State are the three toughest teams on the schedule, and they’re all at home. In fact, the most plausible losses this team could face are at Penn State and at Maryland. But neither will happen.

Spartans go 11-1 during the regular season and coast through their Big Ten schedule on the way to the championship game.
