Vegas ACC Predictions
Villanova at Syracuse (Friday)

Inside the Loud House
The Syracuse Orange are probably the most underrated team in the ACC with a lot of talent returning from a 7-6 team in Scott Shafer’s second season as the head coach. Setting the tone for the season starts Friday night, when they play FCS school and former basketball Big East rival Villanova. This will be a great tune up game to determine if the Orange can finish in the top half of the ACC Atlantic this year.
Villanova is an average team by FCS standards that should pose no real threat to any FBS team, so unfortunately this won’t be a game where we can learn a lot about the Orange. But it’s at least enough to get them in rhythm in playing a full game, and maybe it’ll build their confidence.
Prediction
This won’t be close. The Orange should be much better on offense this year, and the defense wasn’t bad either. Villanova will never threaten, and Syracuse will win the game running away. I’m calling for a shutout.
