Vegas SEC Predictions
Idaho at Florida
Opening Line: Florida by 36.5

Hail Florida Hail
You want to talk about a team desperate to make amends for last year? Take a look at the Florida Gators, whose absolutely pathetic offense finally got the best of them. The Gators fortunately come into this game set on defense, as they have been consistently under Will Muschamp, but still looking for stability at quarterback, which has been a recurring theme since Tim Tebow left. The return of Jeff Driskel should help this year, and Idaho is a perfect team to get your groove back against.
The Vandals, meanwhile, are coming off a 1-11 season as Paul Petrino, brother of Bobby Petrino, enters his second season. Petrino turned to junior college players, lots of them, to turn around the team this year, but Florida might not be the best game to start them off against.
Prediction
Florida is just like Auburn and Alabama, desperately looking to prove a point this weekend, which will spell trouble for the Vandals. However, the Gators might have a little trouble early simply due to Driskel trying to get back in rhythm. Muschamp still has proven his preference to coach ugly, winning football (or in last year’s case losing football), and that will show up a little bit this year. Florida won’t cover the spread, but they’ll have control of the game from beginning to end.
