  • The Nebraska Cornhuskers are still looking to make that next leap under head coach Bo Pelini, who has consistently had either 9 or 10 wins every year there. This year, once again, they’ll be looking to find consistency at the quarterback position and a rhythm with the offense as a whole. If they can’t do that, they’ll be a 4-loss team again, but if Pelini can get that fixed, then you might have something more with this team. It’s opening game is a good measuring stick.

The Florida Atlantic Owls will be looking to build off last year’s 6-6 season under new head coach Charlie Partridge, and enough players are back for this to be a 7 or 8-win team at the mid-major level this year. An upset against Nebraska would put them way ahead of schedule.

    Prediction

The Owls are still developing as a team and won’t be able to come close to pulling off an upset against Nebraska. This will be an ugly matchup, with Nebraska’s defense suffocating Florida Atlantic for at least 3 turnovers in this game en route to a blowout.
