Vegas Big Ten Predictions
James Madison at Maryland
Line: Maryland by 21.5

Betsided
The Maryland Terrapins enter the Big Ten in Randy Edsall’s fourth year finally fully healthy. That is a huge deal for a team that has caught every bad break the past two years. Now, we are still trying to figure out just how good this team is, but one thing is for sure: it’s got some great playmakers all over the field on offense and defense. There’s also a lot of playing experience thanks to all the injuries, but if the Terps are to make noise in the Big Ten, it’ll take consistent play from sixth year senior quarterback C.J. Brown, running back Brandon Ross, and superstar play from Will Likely and a healthy Stefon Diggs and Deon Long. Still, this is a team that could go 2-10 or 9-3, but we have no good read on it yet.
James Madison is a decent FCS team to learn some things against, especially when you have so many players coming back from injury. But after going 6-6 last year in FCS play it’s hard to take any pluses away from a win.
Prediction
This game will be just like last year’s opening game for Maryland. Brown will be the star and find three different receivers for touchdown passes while he runs for another, and Brandon Ross will add one himself. The Terps will pile on with the backups and come away with a blowout.
