  • Mark Stoops and the Kentucky Wildcats seem determined to prove that they are no longer prepared to be the everyday SEC doormat after a 59-14 win over UT-Martin last Saturday. With that game put away, a much better Ohio team comes to town to give the Wildcats and their young recruits a bigger test before the fun begins next week at Florida. Quarterback Patrick Towles will look to have another big outing after the 6’5″ 238 pound sophomore threw for 377 yards last week and a touchdown while completing 69 percent of his passes, going 20 for 29.

The Ohio Bobcats are coming off of a thrilling MAC victory and are joining Toledo this week in attempting to carry the torch for the MAC after the conference’s awful outing last week. Playing well against Kentucky could help the conference’s reputation a bit.

    Prediction

This very young Kentucky team will have more trouble with Ohio than it wants to have, but it’ll pull away in the third quarter and finish with an ugly, double-digit win.
