Oregon State at Hawaii 

Line: Oregon State by 10.5

Oregon State may be 1-0 while Hawaii is 0-1, but the feelings for each team going into this game are the opposite of their records. The Beavers had to struggle to put away Portland State last week, having to settle for five Garrett Owens field goals. Hawaii lost last week because they struggled in the red zone. Oregon State did worse. Sean Mannion and the offense were fine until they got down there, playing very efficient, but they struggled once they reached the red zone. That’s not a good look for a team that wants to get back into the Top 25 this year.

Meanwhile, Hawaii played great defense against Washington and was very close to winning that game as Norm Chow is coaching right now for his job. A home win against Oregon State would send his team into Mountain West play with very high spirits, and there is reason to believe these Warriors are more than capable of doing that.

Prediction

Unfortunately, this won’t be the upset people are excited about, but it will be close. The Beavers will once again struggle in the red zone, but it won’t matter. By the second half they’ll have a comfortable enough lead for another ugly win.
