Vegas Pac 12 Predictions
Eastern Washington at Washington
The Washington Huskies got off to an almost rocky start against Hawaii in head coach Chris Petersen’s first game, but hey, a win is a win. And the team did some nice things that first game, with John Ross coming up with a huge play and the defense holding firm in the red zone. Still, it was far too much bend but don’t break against a bad team, and the offense simply wasn’t good. It will have to show some improvement this week against a team that is more than capable of pulling off big upsets.
Eastern Washington is now 2-0 in FCS play and is coming off of a 12-3 season, including an opening-game upset win aganst Oregon State last year. This is a team that is not going to back down from the Huskies, and they will be able to easily make this a much closer game than Washington would like to see.
Prediction
The Huskies will once again have a major scare in Petersen’s second game as a head coach, but they will pull away in the end with another ugly victory. Ross will make a big play and the defense will make a stand to hold on.
