Citadel at No. 1 Florida State
The Florida State Seminoles desperately need a breather. They were threatened way more than they should have been against an Oklahoma State offense that exploited their weaknesses. Jameis Winston will be looking to improve on his accuracy this week against Citadel, and the running game will hopefully improve along with the defense. Winston and wide receiver Rashad Greene have a chance to show they might become the greatest receiver-quarterback combination in college football in a long time, and this is another chance for them to rack up stats together. But there could be one small problem.
As awful as Citadel is, it does run elements of the spread offense itself. Florida State will be faced with another headache on defense, but at least they’ll be able to get used to playing it a little more. That will bode well for the playoff.
Prediction
Citadel will get one big early play with the spread offense, but that’ll be it. The Seminoles will blow this team out very easily, and Winston and Greene will only add to their Heisman campaigns. Enjoy a fun blowout after a heartstopper last week.
