The Pittsburgh Panthers and Boston College Eagles are both attempting to build a very strong program with Paul Chryst and Steve Addazio respectively. In his third year, Chryst has lots of young talent and opened with a 62-0 win against Delaware. The Panthers would like to use the running game this year and smart passing from Chad Voytik while the young defense, especially the back seven, carries the team. A 6 or 7-win season should be the goal, and winning at Boston College would put them in great position to achieve that.

The Boston College Eagles had a 30-7 win at Massachusetts in Steve Addazio’s second year, but with so much departing talent, the team is hoping to avoid a rebuilding season. A home win against Pittsburgh would help that significantly, but the Eagles will have to exploit the inexperienced Pitt offense and use the running game against the Panthers’ weaker front four to hopefully control the clock and pull out the win.
