8. American Athletic Conference
The AAC once again did not have a great look for a conference trying to claim it belongs on the same level as the Power Five. Memphis did the best job representing the conference last week with its near victory over UCLA. Everybody else? Not so much. SMU got embarrassed by North Texas, and Temple lost to Navy. Losing to Power Five teams is one thing. Losing those games is flat out pathetic.
We knew that the AAC was made up of a bunch of teams desperately trying to make the jump out of mid-major status. But for right now, this collection of former Conference USA teams looks worse than the actual Conference USA.
