Saturday Blitz Vegas Pac 12 Predictions Week 3

Portland State Vikings at Washington State Cougars

So clearly the Washington State Cougars are nowhere near as good as we thought they’d be. The offense looked nothing like a Mike Leach offense last week against Nevada, and Rutgers beat them at their own game the week before. So they’re bound to get a win at some point, right? Fortunately, they get an FCS team this week to correct things, which includes not turning the ball over, having the defense get off the field, not having drives stall, and making easy field goals. Those three things are hard to do, but the Cougars missed on 10 third downs and two fourth downs last week in a winnable game, and coupling that with the turnovers and missed field goals along with Nevada’s ability to run the ball, it’s easy to see why they lost.

  • Portland State plays pretty good defense for an FCS team and could give the Cougars fits, so they can’t take this team lightly either, especially given the way they’ve looked to start the season.

    Prediction

Washington State will finally prove Saturday Blitz right in a prediction this week as we predict them to win for a third straight time. Finally the offense will get back on track, and the defense will do enough to make this a comfortable win.
