Saturday Blitz Vegas SEC Predictions Week 3

Mississippi State Bulldogs at South Alabama Jaguars

Line: Mississippi State by 14

As good as Ole Miss has looked in its first two games, that other Mississippi school is not so bad either. Bulldogs quarterback Dak Prescott may not be that accurate, but he certainly has looked like the Heisman quarterback he was hyped up to be so far after 2 straight games with 4 passing touchdowns and more than 300 yards combined passing and rushing each game to go along with a rushing touchdown last game. The Bulldogs, however, look like they might have a few problems on defense after giving up 34 points and 548 yards to UAB. Prescott will have to be Prescott to make sure the Bulldogs can avoid an upset here.

  • South Alabama, meanwhile, has a pretty decent offense that put up 347 yards and 23 points against Kent State, but the big thing for the Jaguars is to not turn the ball over and mount some long drives. Then they have to find some way to force Prescott into making mistakes if they are going to win this game.

    Prediction

Mississippi State’s offense is going to keep rolling and will be way too much for South Alabama to keep up with. The Jaguars may get a score or two, but this one will not be close after the beginning of the first quarter.
