Saturday Blitz Week 3 SEC Power Rankings

10. Florida Gators, 2-0 (1-0), Defeated Kentucky Wildcats 36-30 in OT Last Saturday

Florida is still a huge question mark. Are they or are they not back in Will Muschamp’s fourth year? After a blowout win against Eastern Michigan, they appeared ready to send a strong message to the rest of the college football world that they are back. But after struggling with Kentucky, it’s now hard to tell.

The Wildcats should not be competing with the Gators in Florida, even if they are getting better. How the offense could look so good one week and so mediocre the next week is very curious. The fact that the Gators needed to force 3 turnovers to get the victory is another big question about them. Right now they have earned the right to be in the Top 10 of the conference simply because they are undefeated, but they haven’t proven anything yet.

They certainly look better with Jeff Driskel at quarterback. But just how good the Gators are will show this Saturday with a trip to Alabama. Then there’s a trip to Tennessee in two weeks before playing LSU, Missouri, and Georgia.

We’ll find out more about this team soon enough.
