Saturday Blitz Week 3 SEC Power Rankings

7. Ole Miss Rebels, 3-0 (1-0), Defeated Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns 56-15 Last Saturday

The Ole Miss Rebels look more and more like one of the best teams in the SEC and have lived up to their preseason hype in every way so far. Outside of one bad half, Bo Wallace has had no trouble dismantling defenses, and his receiving corps. has been great so far. The defense, meanwhile, has consistently looked like and SEC defense. Hugh Freeze’s team has looked very much like a complete team so far.

A blowout win against Boise State to open the season, though, is so far the team’s best victory. Similar to Missouri and Mississippi State, the Rebels haven’t played anybody significant yet, but they have played a little bit tougher of a schedule than the Tigers or Bulldogs.

The Rebels will not reveal how good they are until October when Alabama comes to town in the first of the month. They are off this week and play Memphis next week, finishing up their non-conference schedule, before the fun begins. They look great right now, but that could change very quickly.
