Will Auburn Beat Kansas St.? Who Wins Mississippi St.-LSU? Week 4 Vegas SEC Predictions Here
Saturday Blitz Vegas SEC Predictions Week 4
Northern Illinois Huskies at Arkansas Razorbacks
Line: Arkansas by 14.5
How about those Razorbacks!!! After a terrible season last year and opening this year’s season with a blowout loss to Auburn, Bret Bielema managed to regroup the offense and now has the rebuilding process on track. A huge blowout road win against Texas Tech with nothing but a strong running game shows how good this team could be. The Razorbacks will want to rely on that dominant rushing attack again with the combination of Alex Collins and Jonathan Williams totaling 733 yards already. But they also need to improve on defense to contain a Northern Illinois offense that looks like it’s still pretty good.
The Drew Hare era is underway with the Huskies, and how does a 3-0 start with 6 touchdowns and 0 interceptions sound with that? The Huskies simply need to play their game on offense of a balance, more run-oriented attack on offense against an Arkansas defense that has not arrived yet. But somehow they’ll have to stop the Razorbacks, and that’s going to be hard. Stacking the line and forcing them to pass is the best idea, as Brandon Allen has completed less than 60 percent of his passes so far this year. But that rushing attack will still be hard to stop.
Prediction
Northern Illinois will get its points, and they’ll force Arkansas to work for some of theirs early on. But the Razorbacks will have too easy of a time running the football, and this game will be over by some point in the third quarter. Arkansas is a very good team and is going to continue to show it.
