Saturday Blitz Vegas ACC Predictions Week 4

Louisville Cardinals at Florida International Golden Panthers

Line: Louisville by 27

Just when it looked like the Louisville Cardinals weren’t going to miss a beat this year with Bobby Petrino at the helm, they get shocked by a Virginia Cavaliers team that truly is much better than people would have thought at the beginning of the year. Now the Cardinals have a chance to get back on track in a road game against FIU, and there’s one thing they need to focus on: take care of the football. Turnovers cost them Saturday and have been a problem all season long, and with FIU better at defense than offense, Louisville’s biggest goal needs to be to hold on to the football.

The only hope for FIU, meanwhile, is for that to not be the case. The Golden Panthers have no offense to speak of and are going up against a pretty good Louisville defense, so their biggest goal should be to take care of the football and force Louisville to have a few more turnovers with that good defense they have. If that happens, perhaps there’s an upset brewing in Miami.

Prediction

Who are we kidding? This game isn’t going to be close. Petrino’s Cardinals will still have turnover issues, but they’ll also score lots of points, and FIU won’t score at all. This will be a blowout at the end of the first quarter.

Louisville: 45 Florida International: 3
