Jameis Winston Now Suspended Entire Game vs. Clemson
Florida State caved. After Jimbo Fisher stood up to critics and defended his decision to suspend Jameis Winston for the first half against Clemson after he made an obscene sexual gesture on campus Tuesday, Florida State has now suspended him for the entire game, according to reports you can see here.
What will the explanation be from Fisher? Suspending him for a half looked like a joke anyway.
Winston apparently referenced an internet meme, yelling “F**k Her Right in the P***Y” on a table in the FSU Student Union with a crowd around. The incident alone would probably not have been enough to suspend him, but because it is a string of incidents he had to be suspended.
Not to mention Winston’s reference was specifically ill-advised given his biggest issue.
FSU’s decision to suspend him rang hollow from the start. The decision to change that to a full game was then made late on a Friday night, when many people aren’t paying attention to the news anyway. It looks like more of a joke.

Florida State will luckily not be in too much trouble. They still have way too much talent, and now Sean Maguire has a chance to make a name for himself.
Maguire was a 3-star pro-style quarterback coming out of high school and should be fine with so much talent everywhere else.
In fairness to Winston, he apologized for his actions, but he needs to face some sort of punishment simply for embarrassment so he can be made aware that he can’t just do whatever he wants.
This will hopefully be good for him going forward, because most of his off-the-field incidents have been incredibly stupid things.
He has given the impression that he thinks he’s above anything way too much, and it’s time somebody put a stop to that.
