Saturday Blitz Big Ten Power Rankings Week 4

Finally, a good week for the Big Ten. It took four weeks, but the conference finally showed it can play a little football the way we expected to. Well, most of the conference showed that. There are still some embarrassing teams.

But let’s start with the good. Nebraska and Penn State are still undefeated. Wisconsin looked great over the weekend. Iowa finally showed what it can do, and Maryland and Rutgers represented the conference very well.

  • Then there’s Indiana, who looked like it was in for another long season but managed to pull off a major stunner against a ranked SEC opponent. All of these wins have shaken up our Big Ten Power Rankings because we don’t know where people belong in the middle of the pack. The top four or five are pretty clear, but even arranging those can be hard.

The one source of bad news and embarrassment, though, was obviously the Michigan Wolverines. Brady Hoke’s team provided a pathetic showing for the Big Ten on Saturday against Utah, and now the Wolverines look to be surprisingly lower in the conference than anybody would have thought.

So how did we sort out everybody in the conference? Find out in our Week 4 Big Ten Power Rankings here.
