Saturday Blitz Big 12 Power Rankings Week 4

6. TCU Horned Frogs, 2-0 (0-0), Idle Last Saturday

The Horned Frogs have hardly given us anything to go on for themselves to be celebrated yet, but it can’t be denied that they’re undefeated right now. And they beat a legitimate Power Five team two weeks ago that will probably make a bowl game.

That’s a major step up from last year’s program that appeared to constantly have trouble pulling out games. As TCU continues to try to prove that it belongs with other Power Five teams, a win like the one against Minnesota is huge.

Now, with two bye weeks already to start the season, the Horned Frogs get one more break with SMU before the grueling stretch of Big 12 play begins, starting with Oklahoma and Baylor back to back. If this team is going to continue to prove that it belongs, it’ll need to simply keep doing what it’s doing, mainly on the defensive side of the ball, where the Horned Frogs are ranked No. 5 in the country in points allowed per game at 10.5.
