Saturday Blitz Big 12 Power Rankings Week 4

4. Oklahoma State Cowboys, 2-1 (0-0), Idle Last Saturday

The Cowboys were supposed to have a rebuilding year this year, but they have yet to show a letdown after shocking the college football world on the first Saturday of the season by playing Florida State to a one-score game. Blowing out Missouri State and Texas-San Antonio in back to back games after that before beginning the bye week is enough to put them high on this list so far.

The offense looks like it hasn’t missed a beat with J.W. Walsh and then Dax Garman running the offense. Mike Gundy has clearly shown that he has a system that could make superstars out of lots of quarterbacks.

Now, after the bye, Big 12 play finally begins for the Cowboys with a home game against Texas Tech this weekend. Over the next few games we get to find out if the Cowboys are legitimate enough to at least be better than the bottom half of this conference. Because of how they looked their first three games they’re definitely in the top half of the conference right now, though. Let’s see how long that lasts.
