Arkansas-Texas A&M Highlights Week 5 Vegas SEC Predictions
Saturday Blitz Vegas SEC Predictions Week 5
Louisiana Tech Bulldogs at No. 5 Auburn Tigers
Line: Auburn by 32
The Auburn Tigers may be raising some questions after a close win against Kansas State, but honestly, that game should have simply proven that this is a legitimate team. Kansas State is a Top 25 team and was playing at home on a Thursday night, so there’s no reason to think the game shouldn’t have been close. Still, the Tigers have to work on a few things as Louisiana Tech comes to town this weekend, mainly receivers not dropping the football. Duke Williams did catch the game-clinching first down pass from Nick Marshall against Kansas State, but that play wouldn’t have been needed had he not had so many drops during the game. The defense needs to have more stops, and the offense needs to get more efficient against the Bulldogs.

FanSided
Louisiana Tech, meanwhile, needs to learn how to play defense. How does Auburn sound for that test? Unfortunately, not great. To pull off the upset over the weekend, aside from needing a ton of miracles and Auburn mistakes, Louisiana Tech has to use its passing game. That’s the strength, if there is one, of this team, and Kansas State and Jake Waters did manage to expose a few weaknesses in the Auburn secondary. They may not want to turn this into a shootout, but with a few breaks it could increase their chances of an upset.
Prediction
Louisiana Tech is coming off a loss to Northwestern State, and they’ll never threaten in this game. The defense is far too weak, and Auburn is too great on offense to allow that to happen. This game will be over by halftime.
