Saturday Blitz Blitz Points Winners Week 5

7. Jameis Winston, Quarterback, Florida State Seminoles (Defeated N.C. State Wolfpack 56-41)-26 of 38, 365 Passing Yards, 4 Touchdowns

Jameis Winston made lots of mistakes throughout the game in his return Saturday as Florida State needed to rally to beat the N.C. State Wolfpack. But despite all the mistakes, he deserves credit for the rally. Throwing for 365 yards and 4 touchdowns in that environment is tough, and N.C. State has proven in the past that it can pull off these types of upsets.

But Winston, with the help of the incredible talent around him, was able to rally the troops. Sure, he has lots of help. Sure, his receivers had a huge part to do with how great he looked. But Winston’s intangibles puts him in the category with our other Blitz Points winners from this past weekend. He showed his leadership by rallying the players.

That was another step in proving his clutch gene, leadership abilities, and toughness, and it’s why we have him on this list. Even though his accuracy still comes and goes, he has a great attitude on the field. And the talent is still there.
