Louisville vs. Syracuse Live Stream, Game Information
Louisville Cardinals at Syracuse Orange
Here comes an ACC game between two former Big East basketball rivals. And while this looked like an intriguing match-up early in the season, there’s not as much luster to it now. Still, this could be a huge conference game when looking back, so it’s worth tuning into.
Louisville has struggled on offense recently after looking so great early in the season when the Bobby Petrino-era kicked off. This is still a good offense, but it can’t keep committing so many turnovers. The turnovers are the reason they aren’t undefeated. Without Will Gardner, Reggie Bonnafon’s microscope is bigger this weekend at quarterback than it was last weekend. He has got to come through and play better than he did against Wake Forest if the Cardinals are to pull out this Friday night victory on the road.
The Orange have been a big disappointment so far this year after barely beating Villanova and then losing in terrible fashion two weeks in a row, first at home to Maryland and then in New Jersey to Notre Dame. Terrel Hunt has got to improve for the Orange to have any chance of beating any good team this year. The run game and defense are decent, but decent doesn’t get you anywhere when one phase of your game, in this case the passing game, is just flat-out terrible. Syracuse, in order to win this game, has got to find a way to move the ball through the air, at least to open up running lanes, and that falls on Hunt. They’ll also need to find a way to take advantage of Louisville’s tendency to turn the ball over. They’ll need a few turnovers and decent passing to win this game.
