Tennessee vs. Florida Live Stream, Game Info
Florida Gators at Tennessee Volunteers
A rivalry that was once the biggest game in the college football universe is now a noon game that many people will have to go somewhere else to watch. But the Tennessee-Florida game still has a lot at stake, including a chance to compete in the wide-open SEC East, setting the tone for the rest of the season, determining where the programs are at, and continuing a streak in one case while trying to end it in another.
Florida can’t afford a loss in this game if it wants to prove it’s moving forward with Will Muschamp. To do that, the Gators have to make sure that they avoid making crucial offensive mistakes. But they also have to move the ball on offense, and if they can’t, the defense has to constantly disrupt the young Tennessee offensive line to make sure the Vols don’t do anything either. Doing those things will be enough for a Gator victory, but it will be difficult on the road in Knoxville.
For Tennessee, the first key to the game is making sure it gets over the psychological stranglehold the Gators have on them. That means putting the streak out of their mind. Fortunately, the overwhelming majority of coaches and players haven’t been around long enough to determine the magnitude of the streak, so they’re fine there. Then the game comes down to the offensive line. If the Vols line can protect Worley and the running game, the skill players should be able to make enough plays at home for them to win the game. If not, the team could be in trouble.
