Saturday Blitz Week 6 Blitz Points Winners

10. Bo Wallace, Quarterback, Ole Miss Rebels (Defeated Alabama Crimson Tide 23-17)

18 of 31 for 259 Yards, 3 Touchdowns, 0 Interceptions; 11 Carries for 32 Yards

Through the first four games of the year, Bo Wallace only looked good against Louisiana-Lafayette. Big whoop! Who was ready to take him seriously after 3 interceptions against Boise State and 2 interceptions against Memphis, who was going to take him seriously in any big game like Alabama?

Now, everybody should. Wallace showed his intangibles with 3 touchdowns and no interceptions against one of the best defenses in college football. It can’t be ignored what he did, and what’s most impressive is every time he had a break, he took advantage of it.

With the Rebels down 17-10, Wallace needed two passes to tie the game up at 17. Then after the Rebels forced a fumble on the kickoff, Wallace completed a pass to Laquon Treadwell for 13 yards and another to Jaylen Walton for 10 yards for a touchdown. That’s coming through when it matters most, and it was the biggest question we had about Wallace before Saturday. Yes, Wallace has lots of help, but to come up this big in such a huge game is impressive by itself.

And for that, we are putting him on our Blitz Points list.
