Mississippi State blew out Texas A&M 48-31 in a game that was much worse than the score indicates. They moved up to No. 3 in the AP Poll this week.
Now, they’ll play host to the second-ranked Auburn Tigers, who are fresh off a 41-7 beat down of the LSU Tigers.
The winner of this game will likely be No.1 since the top-ranked Florida State Seminoles have been a disappointment in many eyes and with a game against the struggling Syracuse Orange, they want have a chance to impress (that comes a week later when they host the sixth-ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish).
That’s why ESPN’s College Game Day will be in Starkville to broadcast this weekend.
