Already owning a road win over the LSU Tigers, Mississippi State destroyed the Texas A&M Aggies 48-31 on Saturday afternoon and moved up to number three in the AP Poll.
They also got a big win on the recruiting trail when 3-Star defensive end Anfernee Mullins gave his pledge to Dan Mullen’s squad. Mullins listed the Mississippi State style on defense as a big reason he made his commitment.
“I liked it a lot,” said Mullins via Paul Jones of 24/7 Sports. “That defense really brings it and it was great being here. I like the fact I will be playing in that defense soon and they are very aggressive and really play fast and physical. And that’s how I play.”
The 6’4, 232-pounder is from Aliceville, Alabama and is ranked as the 44th-best weak-side defensive end in the country.
He chose Mississippi State over offers from the Louisville Cardinals and Memphis Tigers, among others.
