Gus Cumberlander commits to Oregon: Ducks land 3-Star DE
Although the Oregon Ducks lost on the field, they earned a win on the recruiting trail, landing 3-Star DE Gus Cumberlander.
It wasn’t a good day on the field for the Oregon Ducks on Thursday night – the Oregon Ducks were taken down by the Arizona Wildcats 31-24.

However, it was a good weekend on the recruiting trail because the Ducks landed a commitment from 3-Star defensive end Gus Cumberlander. Cumberlander was in attendance Thursday and loved the environment despite the final score.
“When I got there the coaches treated me like family,” Cumberlander said via Justin Hopkins of 24/7 Sports. “The coaches were amazing Andrea the fans, it was all I expected. Even though Oregon lost it assured me of my decision by how the coaches responded. They were amazing.”
The 6’6, 241-pounder came a long way to see the Ducks – he’s from Ellenwood, Georgia and attends Cedar Grove High School. He also holds offers from California Golden Bears and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, among others.
