After beating two Power Five teams, including a blowout against one, and moving to 4-1, there have been enough losing teams to give the East Carolina Pirates some respect and put them back into the Top 25. They have played a very solid schedule up to this point going into AAC play, and that can’t be ignored. <p>The Pirates have an incredible offense that is led by Shane Carden at quarterback, and he followed up his 4-touchdown performance against North Carolina with another 4-touchdown performance against SMU to go along with his third straight 400-yard game. Carden is clearly a great player that could lead the Pirates all the way to an 11-1 season if they keep this up.</p> <p>East Carolina’s only loss on the year is to South Carolina, and although the Gamecocks aren’t great, that still isn’t a bad loss. And after beating Virginia Tech one week and blowing out North Carolina the next week, this team has proven that it has the right to be in the Top 25 at least for now. </p>. (4-1). Previous: .
