He soon took a visit to Stanford but the Cardinal couldn’t change his mind. Watching Stanford fall to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, on the other hand, apparently was enough. After attending Notre Dame’s 17-14 victory on Saturday, Brandon Wimbush pledged to Notre Dame.

“Brandon Wimbush has officially decommitted from Penn State and has committed to Notre Dame,” St. Peter’s Prep coach Rich Hansen said via Brian Dohn of Scout.com. “He took the visit to clarify things in his mind, and I’m glad the visit proved fruitful for him. If he had come back and felt stronger about Penn State, then that would have been great.

The 6’2, 205-pound Brandon Wimbush is from Jersey City, New Jersey and attends St. Peter’s Prep. He is teammates with 5-Star cornerback Minkah Fitzpatrick, an Alabama Crimson Tide commit, who also could flip his commitment (to the Florida State Seminoles).
