Saturday Blitz Week 6 Big Ten Power Rankings

Honestly, it was really unfair to drop Rutgers two spots after their win against Michigan on Saturday and jump to 5-1, but the play of two teams threw a twist in our jumbled power rankings this week, and we had no choice but to do it. And a win against Michigan is not that impressive anyway.

The good news for Scarlet Knights fans is that the team is improving dramatically each week. Gary Nova led his guys to victory on his back last Saturday after 3 touchdowns and 0 interceptions, and going forward they could win a lot more games if he does that. If he had done that earlier, this team would actually be 6-0, not 5-1, but it is what it is. The defense is still a little bit inconsistent, but it has shown that it can play with anybody.

And after the upcoming bye week, we get to find out a lot more about the Scarlet Knights. Ohio State, Nebraska, and Wisconsin are the next three games for this team, and they close out the year with road games against Michigan State and Maryland. Indiana might be the only game left where this team will be favored, so they are going to have to shock a few people to get past 6 wins.

But they have already shocked us so far by getting to 5-1, so don’t count Kyle Flood’s team out yet.
