Saturday Blitz Week 6 Pac 12 Power Rankings

Oregon State would be a Top 5 team in any other conference outside of the SEC. But in the Pac 12 they have to be down at no. 10, and that’s just so unfair. It really is. This is a very good team, but with so many 4-1 teams, we have to knock down somebody. That somebody has to be Oregon State because they barely pulled out a win against Colorado.

Sean Mannion is playing highly efficient for this team in the passing game, completing 65 percent of his passes, but he only has 5 touchdowns on the season. Still, his play has been enough to get the Beavers to 4-1 on the year, despite having quite a few ugly wins. Oregon State is simply finding ways to come out on top, and it doesn’t matter how. The defense has been decent, playing great one day but flopping the next. But if the defense falls apart, the offense comes through. That’s been the best part about this team so far.

But it’s going to be hard to keep that up. Everybody else on the schedule is higher in our power rankings than the Beavers are right now except for Washington State, but fortunately Utah, Cal, and Arizona State are all winnable home games. They should be able to take a few wins over the rest of the season to at least get to 7-5.

But in the tough Pac 12, they are only good enough for this spot in our power rankings right now.
