Saturday Blitz Week 6 Big 12 Power Rankings

Once again, Oklahoma managed to lose to a team that it never should have in a season with so much hype. This seems to be a regular thing for the Sooners under Bob Stoops, and for this week, it has knocked them all the way down to No. 5. We apologize to all the Sooners fans, but for right now, Kansas State and Oklahoma State have better losses than they do. That’s why they’re here.

Samaje Perine can only carry this team if Trevor Knight only shows some halfway decent accuracy. He’s a superstar running back that ran up into a much better defense than West Virginia last Saturday. Against TCU, a tough run defense, to get anything going Knight has to be accurate throwing the football in order to loosen the Horned Frogs up. He couldn’t come close to that, and it’s something that could be a danger for the Sooners going forward. He had no excuse for looking that pathetic. Perhaps he should focus on his chance to date Katy Perry, because that will at least make his love life successful, unlike his football play.

The Sooners obviously aren’t out of anything, but that loss makes the prospects of a Big 12 title a lot harder. Fortunately for them, Kansas State, Baylor, and Oklahoma State are all home games, so they still have a great chance to win the conference.

But after how they played Saturday, we can’t put them in our Top 4 right now.
